Leadership Fairfax - Who We Are!
Leadership Fairfax connects diverse leaders to one another and to community engagement opportunities, across sectors and experience. Our mission is to "educate, prepare, inspire and connect leaders to serve and strengthen our community," and our vision is to create "Community Trustees." Through our programs, we increase leaders' knowledge and perspectives on key local and regional challenges, provide an environment for challenging and strategic conversations, and inspire collaboration, inclusion and unselfish service to our region.
Our Signature Program (LFI) and our Emerging Leaders Institute (ELI) build a continuous pool of informed and enthusiastic leaders in the government, business and non-profit sector, and are an investment int the positive future of the region.
Each program is 10 months in length, from September through June, and meets once per month.
Our newest program is the Lifetime Leadership Program (LLP), which meets 5 times over about 2 months and brings together the newly retired. The program is based on the belief that retirees can offer a wealth of experience, leadership and vitality to the community while enriching their own lives.
