Multiple Volunteer Opportunities Available at Earth Day 2023 Fairfax County's largest official Earth Day Event will take place on Saturday, April 22 at Sully Historic Site in Chantilly, Virginia. Earth Day Fairfax is a daylong extravaganza featuring workshops, vendors, and activities to help us improve our environment and health. The event attracts nearly 5,000 people from across Fairfax County. This year’s Earth Day theme is “Healthy planet, healthy people.” This is a great opportunity for youth and adult volunteers to earn service hours and help thousands of our neighbors have a wonderful experience at Earth Day Fairfax 2023! All volunteers must sign up in advance at Fairfax County's Volunteering Website.
"Heads Up" and "Talk It Out" are weekly virtual concurrent groups. Heads Up is for teens between the ages of 14-17 who are working through emotional, mental health or substance use challenges. Talk It Out provides support, education and resources for their parents and guardians. Groups will feature guest speakers and participants are welcome to drop in any time, weekly attendance is not required. These confidential sessions will be held via Zoom for Telehealth.
